Best intake manifold??
im using the JG victor X
here is some dynos of it VS the skunk 2 in a pretty decent all motor setup, this is why i went with it over the s2/type R.
http://www.turbomagazine.com/t...brock/
also, im hearing alot about these AEBS intake manis, but who knows if thats just the 6th grade popularity contest that usually happens here on HT or what, but they seem to be puttin out some pretty decent numbers.
Last, if you wanna spend the big bucks, ENDYN/AIR put out a CF intake manifold that is supposed to be pretty badass...so blah, just do a search, this has been covered alot...

Obviuosly being Erick's has the fastest all motor car you should analyize his set up and go from there
This approach if your smart will dispell many illusions and give you a firm place to stand

yes, it is a good approach to do that sort of thing (look at the fast cars and just run what they are running), but for those who just want some off the shelf preformance that is relitivly cheaper than a full eric's racing porting of a GSR manifold, id suggest just doing a little research about any of the off the shelf products...
If its a race car you guys are after, you might wanna check out some ITB's (TWM), or if you are more on a budget referr to my earlier post.

I had some e-mails between erick aguilar and talked with alot of shops about intake manifolds. I'm personally am going with a skunk 2 manifold ported and polished. I talked to erick aguilar about his manifold and he said that "now you can buy the eldebrock intake that flows just as well
This was like a year ago though so i'm not sure if he still agrees

AEBS.....just took a skunk2 off....and sold it for more than i paid for the AEBS....its really cheap and performs extremely well...better than the typer/skunk2...and all the vac lins are in the back...
It really depends. The Victor X is mean for built motors of 200+ WHP or so
The skunk2 is more for the bolt on crowd.
ITB's are for the road racer crowd. They don't work well with drag racing. Which is why the fastest cars don't run them.

ericks car is not a good one to use as an example of hp. his chasis and tranny is the reason he goes as quick as he does. he has the same mph as alot of other people and that is the judgement of hp. and for your itb comment, alot of the quickest drag people use them. norris, jeremy l. , leslie run them. and bisi runs side draft carbs. so the way i see it 1 out of the 5 fastest hondas runs a manifold.

Oh I C
So none of those other guys have a tube framed car either then ?
So the mere 1500 lbs and stroked Prelude motor in Lookoofskies CRX should have run 9's then ?
The fact is the way Ericks car runs is after trial and error and is a more complete package overall than any one elses. Which is where everyones head should be at.
BTW carbs and ITB's are vastly different

</TD></TR></TABLE>well its pretty obvious you dont understand a whole lot of this stuff to well. jeremy's car wasnt that light. and you also comparing 2 yrs ago to now. theres been ALOT of advances and more parts coming to the table in the last 2 yrs.
not to mention he did it without wheelie bars.
and i definetly agree right now he has the best overall package but alot of people are making more power and have better trap speed. and when they get it dialed in erick will have some rude awakinings.
and side drafts and itbs arent really that different. the only difference is the way they deliver fuel. if bisi was running a stock f22 mani with a 750 holley on top then its a differnt story

Jeremy's CRX was 1475 lbs in one series and ballasted up to 1525 pounds or so for another. Unless he lies in his published interview
And Bisi has said to me personally on several chat rooms and in several interviews that in order for him to make more power with ITB's the velocity stacks would have to be 3ft long, which is not a reasonable mod for sure.
What is obviuos to me is your a ricer. Who makes B.S. comments.
"and when they get it dialed in erick will have some rude awakinings."
This implies that somehow Aguilar is somehow oblivious to his current sitiuation and has not spent modest resources to further expand this and the newer cars potential.
It seems then the only rude awakenings will come when you realize the high priced junk some of his competitors are building to try and compete.
Nuked long rod K27 anyone ?
Do you want to know the future long term all motor
97 Subaru WRX coupe with the non turbo version of the Ej20 and AWD with 1800 lbs dry weight.

i dont really feel the need to get into an argument with you but a few points,
jeremy's car was heavier, i saw it go across the scales.
im a total ricer i love body kits and altezza's.
if thats was bisi says then thats fine for his setup but maybe not everyone elses. can you tell me how many side drafts have plenums? or are they strikingly resembling a set of itb's?
if you really want to know how much of a ricer i am you can check out my car @

i said he runs a different setup as in nobody else runs a carbed f22. i was never implying that bisi lied to anyone. if thats what he thinks his car would need then thats what he thinks.
and my original point was since this thread is about "best intake mani for drag car?" and you said erick is the one to look at. i was simply stating that others that have gone faster"more hp or torque" are not using a manifold with a plenum. ie indivual runners whether it be carbs or itbs.

i do agree with peeps that said that most the quickest front wheel honda are running itb. i've asked other and they told me to run a different manifold. i was considering a TWM. i'll see what else this forum might bring.
go back to school sunshine
Why do some of the fastest imports use nitrous set ups on turbo cars ?
because they make very little power off the line otherwise, the main powerband is in the upper RPM's.
All motor cars don't have that and by nature are even more peaky, then you add ITB's which are nothing but peaky and you are further exagerating that problem
It would be different if you were talking about 5Liter engines but your not.
I fail to see the difference by saying damn a 136mm TB is way to big but somehow 4 individual 34mm TB's is not.
