Default Have you ever stripped your oil pan drain threads while chaging your oil

I just got a SiR change over and I went to go and chage the oil and the drain plug was stripped I put the bolt back in and it would just keep turning and turning it wouldn't get any tighter. So I went to Acura and one of the techs told me about a cool tip in how to fix it. He told me that the integra drain plug bolt doesn't thread all the way in and he said to purchase a Legend drain plug which is longer and would catch the last 3 threads in the pan. So I get home and without a problem the Legend bolt fits right in and tightens all the way down problem was fixed for the mere cost of a bolt. Just thought I would share my new tip for the day with everyone else.

Did your stock bolt have the replaceable washer on it? If it did you can also add another washer to it and it should work.
