Default Loud screetch when starting car

Whenever i start my car it makes a REALLY loud screetching noise and stops when i give it a little gas ..... it only does it when the engine is "cold".... I'm guessing it's my belts??? anyone else have this problem?

it sounds like it's your timing belt to me, have you had it changed recently?

its your belts, they are either too tight or to lose. check the belt deflection too see. if its loose, tighten and vice versa.

no, its very easy too do. your belt deflection is how far you can move the belt when its on the car. i don't know it off the top of my head but someone with a helms could fill you in. anyway, once you see if its too loose or tight you loosen the bolts on the alternator or power steering pump and move it to get the correct "belt deflection".
