my alarm worked fine, but basically it does'nt work all of a sudden, and this was after car sat on jackstands for a week while i worked on brakes lazily.
its a clifford arrow II, i did notice when i start the car, it has a slower initial start sound, but starts fine, plus the dash lights get a little dim only while at idle with radio and air and lights on??, but taking off from the stop light the dash lights go bright again.
my alternator is an autozone mitsibushi and i just got that about 7 months ago.
battery is clean not corroded and connections are tight, and for some weird reason this happened after i got it back from maaco, none of this was present before taking it in to maaco.
maaco was repairing my door and repainting it, and now the next week i noticed the alarm did'nt work and the start sounds like a weak battery and dim dash lights?
so any ideas from anyone? on what i can check, thanks

which fuse? i don't know much about the alarm system, i see there is some big clear fuse looking thing with a wire coming out of each end connected to the frame near the battery and i don't know what it is, but i think that is something hooked to my amps or something.
it could be a lot of things, take apart your knee guard, and find the brain under your dash, check all the wires to see if they're secured, if you have a test light make sure everything's getting power, and check the fuses there as well, umm... also check to see that the alarm itself isnt operating, when you arm it, see if your doorlocks still work, if they do, then you could have a bad siren, there's a lot of things, check a few things and get back to us so we can narrow down the problem
If you had it professionally installed I would recomend taken it back to them. May get out with just having it fixed under warranty. If not you know you have it fixed correctly. Ive seen it to many times people not sure of what they are doing and go in and create more problems than they started with.

just to add more info, its a clifford arrow II, and its about 6 years old, and i do also have a water leak right under the dash (above the dead pedal somewhere), and i don't know if water got on the brain? or what, but again i don't want to mess with this much since i don't know crap about alarms, and i am not sure if it has a warranty or not, but i will go see if it came with one.
the problem i had before this was that when i armed the car, and the parking lights flashed, sometimes the parking lights stayed on, and all i had to do was disarm and re-arm it and it was fine, but it was such a random thing that it never bothered me, cause as long as i kept my eye on the parking lights to make sure they did'nt stay on, i was fine.
