Follow up on my 1st and 3rd gear grind problem

Well, since money is kinda tight, I went the cheaper route and got some GM Synchromesh tranny fluid. All I gotta say is THE STUFF WORKS LIKE MAGIC!
Before changing, I would get a first gear grind nearly every time I came to a stop and put it into first before stopping. Then 3rd gear would be hard as hell to engage, occassionally grinding and downshifting to 3rd was a b*tch. I was running Redline, which turned out to be worse than Honda MTF. Anyway, Ive had the tranny fluid in for about 5 days now, and Ive driven the **** outta the car, and I havent grinded 1st or 3rd a single time. Not only is there no grinding, but it doesnt feel as notchy as it did before, its much smoother in and out of the gears. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying this stuff if you feel like your tranny is starting to get the infamous 3rd gear grind(and in my case 1st as well). Obviously it is not a permanent fix to the real issue, but it seems to be a great work around for the time being for someone with slight tranny or clutch problems that make shifting difficult. I plan to run the stuff even when my tranny is working properly.

I got mine from a local Pontiac/GMC dealer. Cost me about $9/quart. I picked up 3 quarts, used almost just over 2 quarts for the change.

Part Number: #12377916
This is for the friction-modified GM Synchromesh.

I DID NOT get the Friction Modified additive. I just got the regular fluid and it works great. Part number 12345349
I think the Modified is even more expensive.
