ok heres the problem...im ordering the apexi turbo kit for my d series...however the charge pipe already has the BOV flange for the apex-i BOV welded on it and has a plate u can put over it incase u dont have the bov yet. however i do not want to get the apexi bov cause i heard it sucks...im gonna get the greddy type s...can i cut the apexi flange off and weld the greddy flange on...or do i need a new charge pipe??...thanks!

 

Take it to a welder. Have him cut the one flange off and put the new one on. It might look like ****(depending on the welder) but it'll function.

 

how about this...can i buy a GREDDY SOHC type 31 intercooler SET-UP kit (the new IC kits they make for custom apps.) and just have a greddy type s mounted on that?...supposedly it comes with all the pipes except from the turbo to the IC...

 

If it comes with all the piping then sure. I did not know that they made a universal kit though. I have a Type 31 FMIC for a 99-00 Si and it only came with like 3 peices.

 

its nt a universal kit...they are car specific...but they come with all the pipes...instead of reusing the charge pipe from the greddy kit...heres a link

The intercooler kits don't come with all the pipes. It only comes with a pipes to go from turbo to ic and ic to the TB pipe.

Well, I just read it and it does seem like it. Mine didn't come with all that though so I dunno.
