I have to opportunity to buy a 90 Prelude Si (I think Si) for $1,000. 155,000 miles. Car isn't in the best of condition, but it isn't trashed. A/C, sunroof, you know.

It had a blown clutch, but my Mechanic is talking about fixing it and selling it to me for $1k.

Anyone think I should? If I get tired of it, can I sell it for this much or maybe a little more?

I have a set of cams sitting for that car actually...

 

The more money you spend towards that could go towards your 13 second Lude. Unless, you're done modding that beast.

If it runs good, and he's willing to fix the clutch, I'd say buy it. It might be a fun little project car.

 

Well, I want a daily driver... but I don't know if I want to keep the thing after having it a month or two.

 

spend the grand... beat the **** out of it then sell it. or better yet just give me the grand and call it a day.

yeah, i still love that body style, but it's all you if you get it now.

 

wasnt your lude going to be your daily driver? if you get it, just drive it, i think it will help you out, and take time and pressure off the race motor. go for it (unless kristina wont ride in it)

 

Hrm... I've also been talking to Don about that red 90 CRX and dropping an LS motor in it. Then again, I love Preludes. I'll have to go look at it.

 

the red one thats possesed?? yea we have been thinking of that for a while, but ya know how kristina hates crx's . but that crx is pure evil, you do not need another car pissed and breaking down, just leave it factory, i left mine that way, and actually getting use to it, and if anyone feels like they cant have anything factory it would be me

 

Well, I have to go look at it. I figure the 17" rims, an exhuast and lower it... It has to be primer w/ graphics. I'll be happy not spending money on it.

 

It would be nice to see you drive one car to work a whole month in a row!

I recently got a 90 Prelude Si (2.1 Liter), I am in the almost in the process for a new engine. But I love it, if I were the richest person, I would still own one of these cars, I love it to death. I actually bought the car off a guy named Antonio near where I live. He has a website about it. Check it out, I would go for one for only a $1,000.
