What would you Choose, the Type-R Strut bar or knockoffs. Or would you choose the Mugen Strut Bar? Feel free to add any stories or expiriences with both.
I'd go with Type R or Comptech. I like those designs a lot better than the others that use only one bolt to connect the brackets to the bar. On those kidns, it gives them a point that could pivot which could make it less effective, IMO but someone correct me if i'm wrong. Personally, i have a Comptech up front, and a Type R in the rear.
1. mugen
2. oem type R.
I have the mugen rear strut bar and the welds are excellent, straight through design as well. if you have the money, this is the way to go. shameless plug we're trying to get a mugen strut bar groupbuy going, so feel free to join. Oem type R is also a good strut brace, but I believe its not straight through, as it rises to go well above the shock towers.

I still love 3 point bars (ie: benen and carbing) but believe you can't use them in certain autox classes. Between Mugen and OEM, i'd go Mugen if it didn't cost so much

watch out, that is a pretty big generalization...one that is not often true...
if you said "which is better, oem or MUGEN" then that is usually an easy choice, however most people will usually choose a high quality reliable OEM product over aftermarket stuff...however, indeed MUGEN is an exception

itr all the way, mugen is over rated and over priced. i would save the extra money and put it into the motor. forget all these little overpriced accessories. itr will do the job.

For real!
For real!
It's true. I had the OEM JDM rear bar that stretches out across the trunk.
I don't like it because of the way it mounts. Your better off going with a bar that will bolt up directly as opposed to one that has a bracket like the OEM one.
