Default main bearing clearences at service limit.......

installing my new acl bearing in my gsr and # 4 and # 1 are at the service limit... should i buy new honda bearing to bring it up to spec...

aslo what is the meaning of the service limt helms doesn't really to elaborate to much on it......

I only use HONDA OE bearings but that's just me... The term service limit is really just the point where something is worn so much that it needs to be replaced... On a bearing, it's just worn to the point that you'll either need a new one of the same color, or possibly an even tighter clearance... I don't know whether you are talking about your conn rod or main bearings but if it were me, use the alphanumeric coding off your block/crank for mains or crank/rod for your rods... Buy that specific bearing, then plastigage it... If you're loose then step up a color and vise versa... It may take a couple times and a few bearings but it's better now than later... Just my $0.02... Good Luck
