Default Need Help with brake problem

I have 35k on stock brakes. Just started getting a vibration out of them. Dealer told me the rotors are out of parallelism because they have beem overheated due to aggressive driving. Howver the pads still have 60% felt on them. This sounds really weird to me that the rotors went before the pads. This ever happen to anyone else? What rotors and pads do you reccomend when replacing

That's very possible. Excesive heat can warp a good rotor.
Look for original or Brembo blancs. Autozone rotors work good too.

No a precise idea, tho every depends on how you drive your car. Mine has 23k and still brakes like a Porshe.

Rotors on our cars usually warp from being unevenly heated in one spot or area, ie driven hard and then parked without cooling them down. Poor driving/parking habits can easily kill a rotor befor the pads go.

My car shimmys like no other, and the pedal is dead soft. I probably boiled the fluid at Gingerman, and my last attempt to bleed to brakes resulted in me overtightening the bleed screw.

Actually, I think I overtightened it. I wasn't paying much attention and kept turning it, then realized what I was doing. I didn't take it out, and hell, its still in there right now. I'm kinda scared to... But I have new pads and new rotors waiting to go in the car.

People also damage rotors by driving it aggressively, then park it and start washing the car w/ cold water running down the rotors. Not a good combo. I've seen many people do this before.

Yea i don't get it, at gingerman, after running, I did a cool down lap, slowed the car down and didn't even use e brake, i just used teh spare to act as a wheel block. i don' tknow, maybe its the way i drive.

Not only should you let your brakes cool propertly before stopping, but warm them up gently too - you should warm them up, you do the same with the engine before hammering it(well i hope you do :-))

I have been running without dust shields to get more air in this year and havent had any problems, gonna put them back on thou when our horrid weather comes back in the uk. :-)

Another thing is make sure you tighten your wheel nuts correctly and evenly or this can lead to rotor warp.

And dont jump on the pedal - brake smoothly and progressively, youll stop smarter and its kinder to the rotors and yourself and your car.

AND as mentioned earlier dont wash your motor when you got hot rotors, they dont like it - I also make a point of not hammering the car if its raining too cos hitting water with hot rotors is not gonna help either.

you're right.

using your ebrake after a track session is a BIG no-no. when you park the car, just leave it in gear. also, roll the either forwards or backwards a couple feet every five minutes or so until everything is cooled down.
