Default ITR Helical LSD on H22?!?!

My old racing guru friend that I lost touch with talked of having an ITR Helical LSD on his H22. I remember him saying it was "EASY" to do. Shaved a couple thousandths off one side and used a washer on the other side.
Has anyone here done this, or heard of it? I would like to see some more info about it. I ask because I work for Acura and parts are way-cheap. I would love an LSD...No more 1 tire fire or peg legging for me. The QUAIFE is an option, but very expensive. Phantom Grip just seems too cheap to work well. I need it for the Drag Strip and Auto-x/Roadrace.
Thanks in advance,
-Clint

where the hell would you even be able to find one? ITR trannies are a prize for the bseries guys, who would pull out the differential?

I work for an Acura Dealership, and have made friends with everyone from porters to The Master Tech to the General Mgr.
Being the Finance Director definitely has its perks!
Parts at cost, some of the best techs around, and a FREE 3.2 TL Type-S to drive!
$255(+s&h) right now, not sure what I can buy it for from my Parts Dept.

I dont think you can fit B series stuff to H series motors.....you would be better off just buying an lsd for an h series motor....they do exist......just get one from a JDM motor place......it will drop right in....

No, they don't drop right in. Not unless you already have a JDM transmission. And even then I'm not sure if the trans will take it. A JDM LSD is much much much larger than a USDM differential, both the differential and ring gear are larger, and use more bolts to hold the ring to the diff as well, as well as the races being larger.

Isn't the JDM LSD a Clutch Type?
I know Quaife has them for $700ish, and the Phantom is only $250ish.
I am going to have to try very hard to find out where this guy is. I assume he knows what he was talking about considering he races a 5th Gen Lude with some parts built by REALTIME just for him, and has had some Road America experience with a Showroom stock car.
I will definitely let everyone know what I find out.

The JDM LSD is helical just like the ITR.

THe JDM LSD housing like the other guy said is much larer than the non-lsd differential. So you can't swap them. I have a Euro-R tranny and LSD and from what I know it is the same as Non-LSD sized such that I could put in a quaife or something if I wanted to.
