Sway bar/exhaust rattle
Yesterday I installed a ITR sway bar on my GSR and it now the gap between the stock GSR exhaust and the thicker ITR bar is too small, so when driving, part of the exhaust pipe hits against the sway bar making a very annoying and loud rattle, as well as slowly making a hole in the exhaust piping. I tried putting a rubber clamp around the exhaust pipe, but the rubber quickly melted.
Anyone know od anything I can put between them that won't burn up, melt, or fall off? It only needs to be a temporary fix, since I'll be getting a custom exhaust made, and they can work around it.

I have the same problem. My stock GS-R sway bar comes in contact with my DC (I had to have the DC lowered for my rear valance on my bumper for muffler outlet to clear.)
I have rubber wrapped on the sway where it hits. Stops the "thunk" temporarly. It lasts longer than a rubber clamp on the exhaust itself.
I'm looking for a better solution myself.

I doubt I'd be able to get completely through the install with it upside down... if it was upside down, either the endlinks would fit but the main bushings wouldn't, or the other way around. Everything is in there as it should.
The rattle happens right where the sway bar curls up just before the endlink.

Check and make sure that the swaybar "bends" down and not up.
I doubt he put it in the wrong way when I put my 5zigen axelback exhaust on it was hitting the sway bar and it really was pissing me off. I finally got a hks exhaust and it solved the problem but my sway bar is factory and unless honda mounted it wrong from the factory then thats not why it is tapping.
I fixed mine by bending the hangers. It worked but caused problems when trying to remove the 5zigen pipe.

Holy ****! You can get it in upside down! Damn, I feel like a complete idiot. I remember reading "check the way it bends" on the instructions, then looking at the picture. I couldn't really see though since the print out was kinda crappy, so I just held it up, it lined up, so I put it in.
I'll have to fix that after work.
