I feel like a nOOb asking this, but..........
I need opinions. I bought an EG hatch last week, so now I have my 91 Si & a 94 Dx. I love my EF, but I can't afford to have both & mod the EG, and a new project would be fun. For the time being I have 2 car notes ($130 each=$260) and $188 a month for insurance on both. The EF I only owe about $800 on now, and I owe $3500 for the EG. My question is re: teh value of the 91 if I were to sell it. Here's what it comes w/..........
I've replaced this in the last year:
4 Hub assemblies
Starter
Alternator
Water Pump
Axles
Tie Rods
Clutch Kit + resurfaced Fly Wheel
PCV valve
Intake
Header
17” Enkei Wheels + Yokohama Parada’s (I hate these things)
All of this in the last 3-6 months
DOHC ZC
Timing Belt
Distributor
AEM Alternator Pulley + Belt
B&M Short Shifter
Hi-Flo Cat
Exhaust
Neuspeed Race Springs
KYB Shocks
Rear Strut bar
Type R Shift Boot
“Type R” E-brake boot
Mugen Shift ****
Pioneer CD Player
Pioneer Front Speakers
Jensen Rear Speakers
Clear Corner Lights
Clear Bumper Lights
HF Guage Cluster
Parts Not on car:
DOHC ZC Cams for regrinds
Si Guage Cluster + Indiglo Guages
Front Strut Bar
92-95 EX Steel Wheels + Hub Caps (15”)
Stock Parts:
Corner Lights
Bumper Lights
Air Box
Shift Boot
Shifter
Alternator Pulley
Si Throttle Body
New Oil Pan
Stock Blinker
I'm thinking that $3500 is a fair price, the body is straight, the interior is pretty good except for a small portion of the carpet that's coming up, and teh driver's side window track is fuxored from when the car was broken into, but other than that it's a nice ride. What do you think?
PS: flame if you feel the need..........

BTW the 92-95 EX wheels are 14". I'd say 2600-2900 depending on the body/frame condition. Keep in mind stuff like new axles/hubs/timing belt and whatnot won't get you more money; a used car is expected to have stuff like that replaced, and functioning properly.

I agree I was going to say around $2500-$3000 way tops but see then again I dont know about $3000 maybe if it was a B16? Put it on Ebay and prove us all wrong and sell it for like $6,000....but make sure you rice it out first!

I wouldnt, First you will regret it and second you will never get the kind of money you hoped or expected to get.

I know how you feel...when it comes down the selling something you've adored, you always feel robbed. Then again you can probably find a ricer/young noob and get like 4000-4500.
I don't necessarily wnt to sell it. I'm just broke right now, paying rent + usual bills, helping support GF through school, anniversary next month (diamond ring purchase
) and then her b-day & xmas, I just needcash. But like I said I don't really want to sell it, I love this car more than all of teh others I've had. Oh well, I guess I'll just need more OT at work.

Have you just thought about dropping the insurance on one of the cars to save at least a few bucks a month? May help you get out of the hole faster.
If everything is in good shape I would shoot for $4000... Some people are willing to pay more for a car to avoid that hassle of doing a lot of labor on aftermarket parts.

Please, Don't sell it. It sounds to me like the pressure is on to get her a diamond ring. If you sell the one thing that brings you enjoyment besides your girlfriend, Your in for a world of hurt. If she loves you she would never expect you to give something up that is such great value to you. Trust me, it will bring enjoyment to the both of you for years to come. Work OT and get her the ring.

I made this mistake with my gf once and I was misserable. Funny thing is Im about to do the same thing in about a week. If you can drop the insurense on the ef, pay it off, and keep the eg.

Shouldnt have bought the EG
Course I cant say anything, I jump on every good deal I see, just got a 91 240sx for $400, running.
But Id say drop the insurance on the EG for now and use that to pay off your EF quicker. One less car payment and insurance = saved $. Try and make ends meet that way.

Yes, I've decided to keep it. I have the money I guess, just no extra right now. The EF will be totally paid for in March, and teh EG I don't really owe anything since the money was pulled out of savings, but I need to get that back into savings as quick as I can. I just couldn't pass up teh EG, it's got a fresh paint job (WRX Blue), a carbon fibre hood, 2000 Si seats & wheels for $3500. Oh well, I just can't mod for a while. Thanks for the input guys.
I'm too additcted to the EF hatch, I guess it will stay- it's almost overhauled & then I can do more engine mod's. The EF's future holds new wheels in a reasonable size (15" Rota's), brake upgrade, new bushings, new carpet, and a new window track. Then comes the fun stuff
