Winter is rolling around so its time to stock up on parts and the stock suspension isnt doing so good... quite frankly it doesnt even handle all that well. Now i have done some research and there are pages and pages of suspenion bs. All i really want to know is what would a decent suspension set up consist of? I want it to be lower 2" about (maybe more) and yes it must handle well. I would prefer it to be on the cheaper side but it must still be decent (may get out to the track). So what am i looking at? shocks, sturts? brand names would be nice as well... thanks.
ground control coilover conversions. kyb agx struts. like the ride and the adjustability. not too expensive though, you should be able to get them for under $500. i would look for a camber kit too if you plan on lowering it 2". just my 2 cents.

Screw AGX's......go with Illumina's.
That setup right there is quite expensive.
I would say Sprint Blue 2.25" dropsprings, and Tokicp Blues(hp's) for shocks. That setup will only cost about 350-400. It'll ride smooth as butter and look ill. If you have the money though than go GC/Illumina, that way every aspect is adjustable.)height/damp. rate.)

Well how cheap are you talking?? You could always go with Neuspeed Race springs (which is a 2" drop) and then go with either Koni's or Bilstein shocks. Not many other shocks can handle 2" or more drop without blowng prematurely.

Exactly....Tokico Blues ride sweet @ 2". After that then they like to take a poop. Thats why I say spring for the Illuminas regardless how much you are lowering; they are tight and last long.

Yes winter is coming, so why are you now deciding to do your suspension? so the snow and salt can eat it up? and dropping it 2" so you can plow some snow? unless you have a winter beater save your money and get a descent coil-over in the spring. but what you can do now is check your bushings and start getting all those frickin bolts loosened up with some PB Blaster, a couple of good dosings a few days before you actually decide to take out the bolts one at a time and anti-seize them. figure out witch ones are too rusted and will have to be replaced, and which bushings will need to be replaced, what bolts you will need etc. do it right or you'll just regret it later and wish for something else. suspension is more than just shocks. you need to check springs, ball joints, bushings, bolts, tie-rods, upper and lower control arms, wheel bearings, hub/spindles etc. and when you say cheap you need to define yourself, no one hear has access to your check book and does not have a clue what cheep to you means
