New forged rods or reworked stock rods

Default New forged rods or reworked stock rods

I would like to know work you lot think i should do??

Go with the Forged rods.
Or get my stock rods reworked

And work max power can the stock rods take??

All I know of that you can do to your stock rods as far as strengthing them goes is to remove any possible stress points (rought casting etc) and shotpeen them. It's not going to turn rods made for under 200 hp into rods that can handle the kind of power you probably want to make..

Go with GOOD forged rods.

From what I've seen on here and my own experience with the stock rods, if you get the stock rods reworked and use some ARP rod bolts you should be fine for a good amount of horsepower, maybe 250 I would say. Not often, I don't think ever have I seen someone on here have a B-series rod break under like 300 HP. That's if you have a B-series motor...if you have a D-series then get new forged ones cuz the D-series are toothpicks. Thats just my opinion.
