I was just curious as to the average and best 1/4 mile times you can pull out of a '00 Lude, both SH and base model stock? My friend has one and I can say I've never seen a stock one run here locally and I hope to run his car at the track soon and want to know what times I should be hitting approximately.

Bone stock I seem to remember the SH and base models getting somewhere in the low-mid 15's. Who the hell knows if I'm right.

 

with a good driver u can hit high 14's (taking out the spare and seat and 1/4 tank of gas)

but usually its low 15's in certain parts of the country

 

An 00? Low 15's. The SH will generally be slower.

A 93-96 VTEC will be a tad faster. You can usually find them in the high 14's with a good driver.

 

I've read data that suggests the SH hasn't been proven to be any slower.

 

maybe not by MUCH, but the extra handling system has a pulley that kills off 2-3 hp.
Noticable? Probably not with a good driver....

 

the question is.... would you rather have the SH or the 3hp?

Rather have ATTS, the handling is unbelievable and it does make a big difference.

 

but with the atts system, if you get too much HP going through there, it freezes and geeks out on you.

 

i think if you've got it you'd rather have it and if you don't you'd rather not.
