they steal the itr's to make big money from selling the parts. they can't do much with the rsx other than sell it as a complete car which isn't as profitable and much more dangerous.
i think even tho its the same chasis, the civic still spins the same way while the rsx spins the opposite like the s2000l....i wonder if anyone's going to attempt to drop the s2k engine in the rsx...altho its proably not worth it for the price of the s2k engine

The specs on the new civic si motor, from what I've read, are the exact same as the base model rsx (160hp, 2.0L, ect.) so it's probably the same engine. Car companies will usually use the same motor in as many cars as they can to cut cost for them and the consumer. I think a transplant of the rsx-s motor into the civic si body will be the new hybrid and would probably be pretty quick.
Sorry guys but thats not how it works. The RSX will most likely become a theft target when crashed ones start popping up in salvage yards and an "RSX black market" is established by those repairing and/or rebuilding RSX's the "not so legit" way. Still does not take any heat off the ITR. Since there are hundreds of thousands of Civics (88-00) in circulation that will accept a B series swap. So if you wanna be stupid and assume that thieves will now target the RSX over the ITR. THINK AGAIN!

Ok to clarify I don't think the RSX will be the new target for theft, I do think the engine will fit the new civic si. In fact I think the ITR will be a target for many years to come, unfortunately.
