a friend of mine is getting jipped at a honda dealership. he wants to trade in his '01 lude for a new SiR. they say his '01 lude with factory skirts, fully loaded, auto, with only 45,000 km is worth $15000 cdn!!!!! i think that is way too low.
how much do u think they should give him for a mint '01 lude? i think they are 10,000$ short

15k sounds right. you should tell your friend to sell it privately... you could get closer to 17k for it. remember that the dealers need to beable to resell the car at a profite, thats why they low ball all the time.

Maybe they are low balling him.
I was going to trade my previous car in(pathfinder) I sold it for 8k and the dealer was going to give me 3k. Dealer trade ins suck.

You have to realize that dealers are always going to lowball you in a trade-in. If they offered you what the car is actually worth, they wouldn't profit off it by reselling it. If I were your friend, I'd try to sell the car off privately and then go buy the new one.

research your **** before you do anything at a dealer.....from my experiences they try and screw you as much as they can....but if you know your ****...then you should be ok.....so go to them and say you went to another dealer and they said they will give you more money for it....then they might give you more for your trade in...its worth a try.....i think that is enough of my blabbering for now....
