Bonehead of the Week Award - First Winner ME!!!
I definitely deserve to be the ITR Bonehead of the week. Took my car into the dealer this morning for some warranty work. After I got out of the car in the service drive thru I looked down and realized I hadn't removed my Tech Inspection sticker from the SCCA ProSolo event this past weekend. DOH!!!
It was too late at that point, the service writer looked down and saw it. I tried to quickly scrape it off when he went over to the computer, but it wasn't gonna happen, it was on there good. Oh well....I hope that I don't have to pay for that A-Pipe now.

does that service writer care that you autoX? The same thing happened to me when I took my car in for warranty work. He just asked what the sticker was for and after I explained to him what autox'ing was, he didn't have any problems w/ it. Free alignment
I don't think they care. I've had a couple of the mechanics come up and ask me about my car and talk about some of their other customers who race. I think the "Tirerack.com" decal across my windshields over top an "SCCA Sports Car Club of America" gives some indication that I race at least a little. The bright red Schroth harness on my driver's seat doesn't help conceal the fact that I see a little action either
The mechanic and service writer also cautioned me on the use of ATE Superblue brake fluid as one of the NSX's that they prep for races has issues eating caliper seals with this fluid only. I've made sure to complete my latest brake fluid flush with ATE Type 200 before service this time
So no, I don't think it's an issue, but I've never come out and told the dealer I participate in Auto-x events and I didn't want to spell it out for them unless I had too. Oh well, I hope it's not an issue...
