Default Burning tires smell after every time I drive

I just recently upgraded the suspension but the drop is fairly mild, about 1.5 inches, had alignment done and everything.

I noticed a few weeks ago that after I drive for a few miles I will get a very bad tire burning smell...sorta like azenis after autocross. I noticed it when I was swaping my rims after an autocross.

I have kumho 712s as daily drivers. It could possibly be brakes because they are a bit low (7-10mm) but would they make burnt rubber smell?

Are they properly inflated?

I had the same problem one time in a mini-van. Release the E-brake!

What width are you running? If you don't notice any rubbing outside then it's probably rubbing on the inside of the wheel well.

You can check the tires or the car itself for tire marks.

1) Okay, here is some more information. It is only when I drive a bit hard on twisties that I really smell the burning.

2) it's not burning oil

3) I have a 1-1.5" drop from stock suspension. I get the smell both with stock gsr rims and 205x50x15 kumho 712s and with 205x50x15 azenis on 15x6.5 +39 offset rims.

Does this help any?

Its possible your tire is rubbing the inside of your wheel well.

If your turning really hard, your car may be rocking side to side enough to bring the body of the car down on top of your tires.
