Default What size intercooler will fit?

Hey guys, just wondering what size cooler will fit behind the '96 Accord front bumper without having to modify anything too drasticly?

I'm thinking a cooler sized about 30x6.5x2.5 will be OK?

cheers

That's with endtanks, the 30" i was thinking.

I'm not sure about 9" high, from what i can see that might need some cutting. Drag2, might have to find those dimensions!

cheers

deffinately look nice there 94Dx . But seriously, the biggest one you can manage to shove in there, without losing a ton of pressure....the size 94dx is using sounds plenty large enough though!

hey poid, have u finished ur car yet? or are u just getting everything ready? Finally another turbo accord in Aus. Mine is nearly done (h22a + turbo) and is gettin tuned this week. My cooler is 750mmx270x70 plus end tanks.
My standard front bar is chopped to pieces.
Luckily a new replacement is only $90
Get back to me....

Cheers

You boys are aussies?!?!? Are prices on say Apexi/HKS/Greddy intercoolers cheaper than it would be to get a drag unit? Mine cost $380, I know shipping would be a bunch to goto australia...

i know the japanese intercoolers went for dirt cheap in japan:

I have a 30x8x3.5 on my 97 and the only modification was to slightly notch the backside of the bumper support due to its height. Its a PWR custom, and it was relatively cheap. Check out http://www.cheapturbos.com for a fair price or contact me, I am a dealer for PWR.

Nah havent finished it yet, things keep getting in the way!! Finalising everything i need, basically cooler dimensions are the least thing i'm not sure about. Then i just have to buy everything and start the work

Yeh i dont wanna chop the front bar, just have the cooler sitting behind there. People wont suspect much going on behind a stock front bar!

Japanese coolers are still expensive as hell here, its cheaper to import a Drag cooler and get custom pipe work done than to get a Blitz intercooler kit. I dont mind importing from the US, as i have a mate that has suppliers over there and should be able to source a PWR or Spearco cooler (PWR are an aussie company, but make the Honda sized coolers in California...)

The benefit of being here is that we have great engine management and experienced tuners for them. I'm probably going Haltech

EDIT: Just to note, i've been quoted about $1300 aussie for a drag cooler here, which is about US$850. Hoping to get something suitable for $600 aussie or less
