Default Running out of ideas, motor possibly blown?

I've made a post about this before, and just installed the new dizzy and STILL the same cranking problem. It sounds like its cranking, but almost like something isn't grabbing - the car is an automatic if this matters

how it all started: Me and a friend were driving back from orlando checking out a new car I bought, going about 95 (fast for this motor) - I was pressing on the gas trying to accelerate but I was getting no response... checked the RPMs and it was at 0

so we pull over and try to start it, the noise that it makes is like a
well I don't know, it sounds like it's cranking longer than normal - like wreeeeeeeee wreeeeee wreeeeeee

We have checked the timing belt, it IS spinning and it's not broken
New distributor
ALL the plugs
CAR does have fuel and is getting fuel

toss out any ideas you might have, it's sitting at one of my friends shops and he's getting a little frustrated with it sitting there

OH, and the car was POSSIBLY out/low on oil - but I heard no knocking and there is nothing wrong with the block

If you seized it the motor wouldn't crank at all so hopefully it's not a run-out-of-oil issue. Check ur oil and full if needed.. do you have any check engine lights?

Well you found the culprit, atleast you have somewhere to start now. Check connections, grounds, plug wires, and dizzy..

I'm looking at the helms (I found one online) just possible if it could maybe be the ignition timing? It sounds like it could be possible...

edit: ok nevermind on that idea

I'm not getting spark my first thought was dizzy, OK I am out of ideas - he's bringin up the main relay, etc... the car isn't worth much but I do want to get it running and out of the way spending as little money as possible

trial and error cost money... truthfully I'm hoping someone had this problem before
