Default Volk TE37 Copies

I know it's lame, but I really like the white TE37's... and I can't afford to spend 2 grand on rims. I'm looking for TE37 knock-offs, or a similarly styled white rim. If anyone knows any brands/models to check out, I'd be greatly appreciative.
I did happen to see some Arospeed wheels ( I think they were RS17's ) that looked just like bronze TE37's and said ROYS something on them. That's a little too lame, even for me.

I know a guy with an ITR with TE37's, and the wheels just look so nice on his car.

Rota makes them called "Grid Racing." Not too bad of a look if thats all your after. They weigh in at approx. 12-13lbs. cast made, about 4 bills a set. I believe 15"-17" are available in white, bronze, gunmetal. Post up pics when you get them.

Okay, I'm having trouble finding these Rota wheels anywhere but a place called Serious Auto, does anyone know who carries these wheels?

Nippon Racing makes a wheel that looks like a TE37.

I'll try to get a hold of you when I get back to school. My friend in Detroit can get a hook-up on rims....real deal too. The price might be satisfactory. Besides, the imitations aren't that much cheaper anyways. But, the process might be a little rushed b/c he's world touring to Bloomington, then Austin and SoCal starting in early September.

P.S. I've seen a groupbuy on the Best Buy forum for Volks...$351/riim for TE-37's in 16x7's.

BTW, my brother has the deal with ADR's if you're interested. I'm moderately interested in the ADR Spiders that just happen to look like the Mugen MF-10's.

WRONG.

I bought my circuit 8s for under $425 shipped for the whole set of four.
ONE new mugen mf8 would have cost me $325, so that is $1300 for a set!?!?!

The Formula F1 wheels look identical to the TE-37's. Nippon has a similar wheel, but it's not identical. Email my friends at blackheartpower@hotmail.com cuz they carry the Formula wheels. They're available in 15"-18" and in silver, white, bronze, blue, and gunmetal. They're not too bad in weight at about 1lb/inch...not as light as the real ones, but not nearly as expensive either. Here's some pics...

I say if you dont want to spend all that money on the real thing, at least get some look-a-likes from a respectable company such as Rota...etc, that way you can at least be sure the quality is decent.

I think the Rota copies of the Te37 come in 15" as well as 17". The other companies such as Nippon, Arospeed, I believe come in 17"?

Wow, thanks for all the replies.
As far as the Nippon Wheels go, I looked at them, and they're called Formula 1's... are they the same as the pictures above? I saw somewhere where 17x7's were $1049 for the set. Does anyone know of the quality on these? Would I be better off with some Konig Rated R's?
Also does anyone know how much the Formula F1's run for usually?
I figure I'll probably sell my GSR wheels (they only have 1500 miles on them) and that will help fund this.
Also, any opinions on how white wheels would look on a Milano Red GSR?

the konig rated R is a heavy rim... beware.
maybe stay with a 16" rim.. performance will suffer with a 17 unless you get really good tires, which are not readily available in the appropriate size....

stay away from white wheels.. they are a bitch to keep clean from paint eating brake dust.

at this point, I'm open to suggestions...
What do you guys think is the best wheel for the money?
I'm on a serious budget, so I'd like to keep this as cheap as possible.
If you could recommend tires, also, that would be appreciated.
Actually, I think I'm going to post a new thread on this.
