Default New to the NA game and need some help.....

Alright......So I did the boost thing and did pretty well with that, but then decided to sell everything and settle down. But now I am tired of being slow and want to see what I can do NA. Here's what I have right now
-JDM B16A
-AEM CAI
-Greddy Evo Exhaust
-Godspeed 2.5" Testpipe
-DC 4/2/1 Headers

Questions I have:
-High Compression Pistons--Want to shoot for 11.2:1 or 11.5:1 but which ones do I go with? Also what is the compression of Type R pistons?
-Cams--Probably going to go with Type R Cams, but wanting to just double check that Type R Cams from a Integra Type R will work on my b16.
-Cam Gears--Which ones do I go with?-
-Intake Manifold--Pretty set on the Skunk2 Manifold unless anyone has a better suggestion on which one to go with that would benefit me more.

-Does anyone have any sites for decently priced parts?
-Finally how much power am I looking at if I do the mods listed above? Thanks for the help!

well CTR pistons in a B16a2 will yeild a compression ratio of about 11.3, ITR pistons should be right around 11.1..... not 100% sure though
-Cams--Probably going to go with Type R Cams, but wanting to just double check that Type R Cams from a Integra Type R will work on my b16.
yes they will work. If you are going with just some mild OEM cams get the CTR cams... slightly more power. You will need to upgrade your valve springs so that you can saftly rev higher seeing that the CTR cams make more power in the upper rpm range.
-Cam Gears--Which ones do I go with?
do search..... I made a big thread about it. I'll try to find you the link. Basically all cam gears are functional. The desgine may be different and they may use different bolts but it honestly is base in looks and company loyatly.
-Intake Manifold--Pretty set on the Skunk2 Manifold unless anyone has a better suggestion on which one to go with that would benefit me more.
I would get a OEM ITR since you have a B16 head. Also be on the look out for the new AEBES intake mainfold that is suppose to work way better that the SkUNK2 or ITR....... search on that topic or look in the ITR form for a 6page thread.
-Does anyone have any sites for decently priced parts?
what kind of parts? OEM, skunk2 jun.....you'll have to be a smart consumer and shop around. No one has the lowest prices on everything

with a healthy motor, ITR or shunk2 IM, itr/ctr cams, pistons, cai, exhust, headers, test pipe ..... you should get a FPR atleast and maybe a AFC if you don't want to get hondata. with those mods and a decent tuner you should see about 165whp with maybe 118tq
</TD></TR></TABLE>

hope that helps.

If we ever get started on our 200wph B16 project you'll be able to learn out from it.

Thanks for the info!

Quick question: Do you know about how much hp/torque to the wheels a stock 00 Si has?

Was it in this month's issue of modified magazine? Or is it a back issue?

IMO: Get CTR overbore pistons, CTR cams (yes, ITR cams will work if you want them), any gears other than AEM, and Skunk or ITR manifold, which ever one you can get for a better price (they are practically identical). Also, if you have the $, get a header w/ a 2.5 outlet and a better exhaust (such as SMS). Then a Hondata and a good tuner.

you are way off... think about it logically, if itr pistons in an ITR make 10.6:1 how in the hell is it going to be MORE in an engine with 12mm LESS stroke??

try 10.8with ctrs and 9.7with itrs

Cool. We may need to change the project to 205whp B16.

where the pistons sits on b16a rods compared to b16b rods.

Rocket, they did 200whp with ITBs and a bunch of other crap. I believe Omniman can pull some crap out of his sleeves to hit 200whp w/o ITBs and still remain OEM honda block.
I have faith in this so called omniman guy

Have you guys picked the b16a owner yet? Do you just want the car? How much would the guy need to have in his motor fund
