Default New Brembo cross drilled.. Shaved deep cut inside vent rotor?

I got the Brembo cross drilled rotors from David, R&D motorsport this morning.
I open and inpected the rotors for any defects. I found a shaved deep cut on inside of the ring of the rotor about 6 inches long and about 10 mm deep cut. The rotor thickess is 19 mm. Is it okay to put it on or doen't sound safe? I emailed David about it to see if I should return one of the rotor. The other rotor look perfect. Thanks.

Doug

What did the guy you bought it from say? It sounds like it could potentially crack prematurely. Just wait it out. Don't put them on yet. I'm sure he'll tell you just to send it back if it's defective. Do you have pics of it by chance?

Sorry no picture but Im sure the crack is pretty deep about 5mm deep. I am waiting for confirmation if I could send it back. But it look like the Brembo company made error on the rotor. Thanks.

I'd wait for the replacement. Brakes are kind of important.

Good news, I got email from David from R&D Motorsport.

Doug,
The rotor is not damaged. What you were looking at is the balancing marks. They are machined - spun just like a tire - and then balanced out. Those are the machining marks - nothing more. The other little nick looks like it occurred at the same time and will not adversely affect performance in the least. I will send this back out to you today. Thanks.

Gee, maybe I am so paranoid but just to be sure. Now I can swap the Brembo rotor once it arrive to the door!
