Default I want to buy An ATR tranny

U2Q7 (ATR) tranny is what I am looking for. Any idea where I might come across one? Thanks in advance.

It will be hard for you American to find this gearbox. ATR was sold in Europe only so there you could try to find it. I'm lucky as on Saturday I'll pick one up in Germany

I'm not quite sure but it seems Satan_SRV found that stuff somewhere in England, so try to catch him.

Scott:

You just missed getting the last one we had in stock. It was sold to a local customer of ours here in Puerto Rico last week.

I scoured the UK for one and actually managed to pull a T2W4 JDM Euro-R tranny out of my *** from a custom exotic car manufacturer that uses honda motors. THe B18C5 mainly. They were working on an H series product but abandoned it...he was selling NSX calipers and this euro-r tranny brand new

The best part is it only cost me £720 500 for the tranny 220 for air shipping and some custom clearance junk.

Sad to say I can't get another but I searched UK honda boards for a long time...other than that you can try japan if you know japanese

A final drive from Prodrive would accomplish that just fine.

I have already considered that, but won't have the gearing for the RPM I hit the traps at.

A combination of both an ATR tranny and a Prodrive FD is awesome. I haven't driven my car much lately (in the break-in period as we speak) but the few miles i have driven it, i totally love it!

how can you guys get an ATR tranny or better yet with a prodrive fd on it to traction.... you guys must be insane ?????

maybe i have somethign wrong here.. but my car is not streetable in the first 2 gears... so how do you get yours to traction.. mine breaks loose in vtec on both gears and i can't give me more than 1/4 throttle or she'll go loose on me...

i'm curious... making the gears shorter would be even worse IMO.

Just last night.. I lined up next to a 00 Type R, with spoon header, titanium exaust, bla bla bla.. FASTEST R in these parts, and was side by side first and second and part of 3rd, because i was spinning while he was tractioning... smoke wascomming out of the fenders as i was pulling on him..... when midway in third hit then i was pulling on him like nothing...

how can you guys drive those ? i have lsd too, when i let the clutch go.. riding it out, i started to advanced about maybe a car lengh off the initial line, then when 4000 hit, the things goes loose, vtec hits, in less than a second i'm on the limiter in first, shift 2nd and the rpms don't go down but keep bouncing, i leave it there for a good 2 seconds, and shift 3rd... still going but slowly the rpms drop around 7k and the car goes forward meanwhile the car went from the middle to side to side...

this is the only thing i regret about it... B was more controlable on launch.. or you guys are doing this for DRAG only and not the street ?

I have no traction either through first and second...but first is the same length as a fifth gen so I'm not losing there...but 2nd is tough...but you'll wish you had the 3rd becuase it just pulls so well...

have you tried hmotorsonline, Inlinefour sells the tranny and motor. Unsure if they have in stock and or will sell tranny.
