Honda releases a new NSR50R
its been out for a while I think. some people sell them in the states. too much I think though but it is a nice racing bike. I know classic honda in texas sells them for like 5 grand. my ysr is gonna be better and its gonna cost alot alot less.
that thing looks fun as ****. now that i own a bike that actually handles well, i am more interested in learning good technique in the corners and stuff. whats a good track bike for someone who is 6ft 3 and 250lbs?
nsr/ysr 250 2 stroke. Maybe ksr? If you're thinking 4 stroke older gsxr600s are good as well as f2/f3 cbrs. If you're not too worried about being competitive a lot of twins are very good learning tools. sv650 if you're thinking newer. ex500/500r if you're going on the cheap. I think the old gs500 and fz 600 are too underpowered and outdated. Same time of frame flex and poor dampening the zr7 exhibited. And the whole air cooled thing. Really any older racebike will do well. 95-97 zx6rs are very common and you should be able to pick one up pretty cheap. Remember race bikes are like ******, pay accordingly.
THats the first time ive seen that color. im sure its called a NSR-mini, basically same thing, exept it uses a Showa shock in the rear, harder springs in the fork, and some minor stuff here and there.
ill try to get a bunch of pics of different NSR's today.
Gone to the track in 2 hours
my nsr is not ready at all, but ill still get my tires warmed up.

that doesn't even make me drool after I saw the Metrakit bike...... http://www.ozbikeusa.com/racer.asp and that kid, Josh, will run circles around us at the 50cc tracks
are all those comments correct? I don't see how it could beat a modified yz80 powered ysr with upgrades since this one only has 11 hp. also another thing. I wouldn't compare the 2 since the ysr is a toy and this one is a purposely built track bike. and comparing a tubed framed bike to a steel framed bike. has anybody seen the tube frame kits for the ysr yet? made me drool.

oh noes. so its gonna be coming to the us? I was thinking it was a japan model only like before. for 3500, thats not a bad price for it.

They have a 80cc version of the bike and it seems to be dominating that class too. But at $3500, I'd rather get the Metrakit bike than the NSR50R.

you're right.. i asked maybe 6 months ago when there wasn't too much detail about the bike. they probably decided to use the derbi motor after the first motor sucked.
the metrakit is one pretty bike
