Hey guys, not sure if you are familiar with 4th Gen 4 Wheel Steering (4WS) but some of us who have them are having issues with them. Anyways, I believe mine has a safety issue.

I was reading through my manual and it said that Honda considers helping out with the cost of fixing these issues under certain conditions. I had an issue a few years back with old 96 Accord's airbag. They were going to pay for half the cost to fix it. I never even asked them if they would help cover some of the cost.

Do you think I have a valid claim if my rear wheels turn at random times when my 4WS light comes on even though the 4WS system is designed to lock the rear wheels in place?? It has gotten to the point where I thought I was going to lose control had I not known about this issue ahead of time. Also, any recommendations on how I should go about this??

There has already been one member here (JBG) who has had an accident because of this. I also want Honda to check it out before I install my suspension.

i think its soemthing to look into , i know a couple of people on this board that have had problems with their 4ws, if you find the right person to go too and can prove its cause accidents, then you might be able to get something out of it, thats if they don't feed you the "if you 4ws was properly maintained like we say in the ownder manual you would have no problems" . i guess see what happems, you might also want to change the tittle of the thread so more people know its about 4ws, peace
