Default AN-R Question

what is the difference between the regular 4-1 and the crazy *** mo fo snail style one? also, their website advertises them for $530 shipped. is that a deal or would cermaic coating($180) or stainless steel($250) be necesary for good daily driving usage?

yup the compact one is for ground clearance.....but it does look badass, i would have got it if i knew they definently made a lot of power

actually, both headers have the same ground clearance. the difference in them is that the compact one would fit an EF chasis with b-series and it also fit b-series using the full size integra radiator. For the standard header, you would have to use the civic's half size radiator.

to me for not readingt the whole post. I thought he was asking the diff. between the AN-R "crazy snail looking one" comapred to other top brand ones not the other AN-R. Does the other AN-R the one with the long straight primaries merge before the oil pan as well?

Yes, the collector is placed above the oil pan for increased ground clearance. The ground clearance on our header is as good as stock ground clearance, if not better.

so what kind of extension am i going to need to hook the header up? i used to have the jdm 4-1 itr with a test pipe, the test pipe is still on, so in comparison to the jdm itr, is the an-r shorter or longer, and by how much? thanks

We usually allow enough piping so that it can be cut down to size to fit onto a test pipe/cat.
