Default OT: Anyone know the formula converting PS to HP and Kw to HP

With all the new cars in JP and new standards, they now rate HP oversea in PS but also KW like Aussie does.
Any Rocket science out here with their Rs know the formula?
Thanks,
ed lee

Don't quote me on this, but I think .99PS = 1HP
