Honda 1000RR
Well, below are a few pics, and I have to say I am really disappointed in the color schemes. I'm sure the bike is awesome, but it looks bad. And what is up with the captain america theme?? I like my 600RR so much better.

Exactly. I saw a little information on it from the webcast last night. Basically Honda stated that a standard steering damper helps only at one speed range (high or low) and that it makes the other more difficult or provides heavy steering. The HESD is variable so it can tune the damper to be effective at any speed. I hope that makes sense.

my understanding of osciallations and damping leads me to think you mean not vehicle speed but oscillation speed. basically its an electronic damper that can prevent tankslappers at all speeds equally well. buuut yeah...the rate at which the handlebars/fork is oscillating at is probably proportional to speed...
man. these things are getting more like fighter jets every year. more computing power to help stabilize them. a lot of modern jets are inherently unstable, but thanks to computers they fly straight and level. the agressive geometry of these bikes reminds me of that. not natually stable but can probly turn so fast it will throw you off the damn bike.
