differences in tire width?
I have Volk CE28's ready to go on except the tires... my rim size is 17x7.5 and I am getting yokohama parada spec-2 tires for sure... but there are two different sizes that i can choose from and i dont know how each will effect the car and how it effects performance/handling... the two size options are 205/40/R17 and 215/40/R17

wider tyres provide a bigger contact patch, BUT with the wider patch and the same ratio your rotational diameter will increase, inhibiting acceleration and throwing your speedo readings.

Both of them will fit.
The difference between the two of them is that the 205/40ZR17 tire is 10 mm shorter in width than the 215/40ZR17.

The 215/40's are also a taller tire. Sidewall height is 40% of 215.
