Default what material is the valve cover made of?

I have Z6 valve cover (VTEC, no paint, bare metal) with some stains, something dripped. I hit it with Simple green and a brush and also with Easy Off. Easy off removed alot of grime but it did not get rid of the stains.

What is good to remove the stains? besides polishing....

Thanks

I'll check on the aircraft paint remover. Otherwise I may just have to paint it.

Thanks

Man, I'm addicted to Trigun, I bought the DVD's but I still watch the series on Cartoon Network
