sorry if this dosnt belong here didnt know where to put it

Is the head code for a type r Pr3-3
What can I look for to make sure it is really a type r head

it will say pr-3 and have a green marking on the back

The number following PR3 is not from any specific car...it is simply a casting number from what I've been told.

correct.. but.. pr3-3/pr3-4 are the newer.. look @ a b16.. pr3-1/2 etc..

green marking on the rear of the head distributor side.

Well, my '97 ITR head is PR3-1, while my '00 JDM ITR head is PR3-4.

I remember my B17 head being PR3-1 also.

I got a 96 JDM ITR engine in my 93 civic coupe and the head says PR3-2??

does that make sense? or i got B16A head??

Again, the number means nothing but what casting it came from. The qualities that make the ITR head different from the b16/b17, come after casting, not during.
