B16 swap question
I am putting a first generation b16 in my 1990 crx hf and i was just wondering if i was going to run into any problems that i would incounter with Si model. any help would be great
I did the b16a in my si and it was pretty smooth sailing. Just post questions as you go and get help from the pros. All I can tell you is TAKE YOUR TIME!! Do it once and do it right.
I started with a std hatch i believe its the same sort of thing with a hf crx. your gonna need si knuckes because the splines are diff in your hf, resistor box for mpfi, along with wiring, If you go with the hasport wiring harness it will save you alot of time, but its at a cost. my swap inlcudes.... hasport mounts linkage and wiring, zydene ecu, integra axles, one good resource is http://www.hasport.com there are tons of others but thats the main one I used. one thing i can say is whatever mounts you decide to use, use the same brand shift linkage. The swap is pretty straight forward, just keep looking on here use the search button for any question you have and it will go very smoothly.
its not really necessary to buy the linkage its a waste of $150 if u know any one who remotely know how to weld. Measure it out 2x and cut 1x!!
ive seen a couple b16’s into civic/crx’s it doesn’t seem to be a difficult swap…but hasport is deff a good site to refer to.
