Default Tranny shifter stabilizer bushings...

I have the Energy Suspension Urethane components and would like some install tips and what the results are when installed.
In other words, what does it do for the car?

I placed them in my car.

There is no play in my gear shift lever. I do not know exactly what it does for the car but I do like the way it feels.

I run/sell the Neuspeeds.

they're all the same. the exception would be the Mugens which everyone seems to think have magic JDM fairy dust sprinkled on them.

Your shifting will feel "firmer"

as for install...you could lube them with a little urethane-friendly grease, but the biggest thing is just to push and they'll pop into place.

Actually the Mugen bushings are hard rubber, not urethane. IMO urethane bushings make shifting too notchy.

Real solid feel to shifter. I like mine alot. Even better when using the motor mounts to complete the kit.

Before I installed my ES shifter bushings, my shifter had some play while in gear. After I installed them, the play is nearly all gone. Going from gear to gear is more "crisp" and exact..I'm not sure how to explain but it's worth the 20 bucks or whatever I paid for them.

I have the MOOGEN bushings also, with Cs shifter. They work great. Regardless, for $17 for the ES bushings, it will be an improvement. If you don't mind spending $45-$50 for the Mugen bushings, go for it.

I have test driven the Prothane and Spoon Bushings. I have to say that the Spoon Pushings are nicer. Not as Notchy. Just my Opinion, but I guess you get what you pay for. However the difference in price is big. 90 bux verses 15-17 I am not sure if I could say that the difference in performance was worth the difference in price

$90 for shifter bushings? I thought my Mugen bushings were expensive. Leo can give you a good price on the Mugen bushings.

Holy Crap! that front one is hard !!!

the back one gave up a small fight but done.

now that front one is going to keep me awake all night!
I read the post where B2 had the same fight...

Now I have a question- the only slippery type of stuff I have is Anti seize- I hope thats not going to kill the bushing cause its all over it now

Anyone have any troble with a quick 1-2 shift with the energy suspension? I would grind the 1-2 shift everytime because of the brushing. anyone?

My ES bushings improved the "play" of the shifter and feel, but increased the "notchy" feeling. Definitely feels more secure and precise into each gear tho. Those with the Mugen bushings, do they feel rough at all when going into gears?

That does not sound like a bushing problem.
