Ok, i know this is bad and everything but i helped a buddy turn back his odometer and now he's complianing and saying that the tachometerdoesnt work. I think he said it's stuck at 2500RPM. He told me that is WAS working for the first couple weeks then it started getting sticky (i'm using his words, so bare with me) and that it would stop every now and then and then work again. What would cause this? Should we take the gauges back out and try to unstick them or what? We think it might be a sticky gearing or something behind all the guages...what are your suggestions??

you might have accidentally pushed the needle in a little bit.

 

my old 93 civic idled a zero some times 1st noticed when my gas tank was on E. i think it was sticky and jusr fixed it self every once in a while. i hated messing with those neddles, get one from the junk yard..good luck
