Default prelude s 4 bolt to vtec 5 bolt wheel pattern?

what parts do i need to convert my prelude S 4 bolt (4x114.5? i think) wheels to 5 bolt pattern? all the rims i find and like are 5 bolt.

I am in the middle of doing this right now. Apparently in the front all you need is the bearings and the hub. The back though, i had to get the rear section off a 97 up prelude from jarco. Came with the control arms, the hubs, and e-brake line. The brake lines were cut but I planned on replacing them anyway.

From X01VTEC:

-5th gen front knuckles, rotors, hubs
-5th gen rear spindles, hubs and rotors - bolts up directly to 4th gen rear knuckle

the front was cake, take out the knuckle just like the helms says, bolt in the 5th gen knuckle
rear was also cake, hubs came right off, giving me tons of room to remove the 4 nuts on the spindle, swap spindles, throw on the 5 lug hub. like i said it was cake

i didnt use the rear 5th gen knuckle because the sway bar endlink didnt look like it would attach the same way, instead of sacraficing my sway bar i used the 4th gen knuckle.

what is the purpose of doing this conversion other than the 'bling' factor?

I don't even see the 'bling' with a 5-lug setup. The only reason I'd do it is so I can put some S2000 wheels on.

I'd do it because there are pitifully few wheels available in 4x114.3

exactly...I find some sweet light-weight rims and they end up being only available in 5x100, 5x114 and 4x100 for civics!!!!

There have been plenty of write-ups on 4 to 5 lug conversions. Let me do a search for you!
Ok, I've performed a Honda-Tech search, and this seems to be the only thread that seemed to somewhat pertain to this conversion, so here is the link: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=552938. I have to be honest with you, doing this kind of a conversion may look decent in the end, but it is a total waste of time and money. In no way am I trying to discourage you from doing this. It is your choice after all, I'm just trying to forwarn you. Anyways, if you decide to go ahead with the conversion and you are a member on PreludeOnline.com, there is a really good write-up on the conversion. Check it out sometime! Good luck to ya!
