5th gen??? ****, not in georgia.... i/h/e equip ludes run mid - high 15s here...

Good track, basic bolt-ons, and gutted you can run high 14s to low 15s...

Ludes are good cars as is the motor but power/weigth ration kills it. You can feel the weight when you close the door...

Also do a search in archive this topic has been covered before.

the best time to my knowledge of a stock 5th gen ran a 14.8

in general, the lude should be 15.0-15.5
also, its about track conditions, and elevation, it all comes into play.

my bb2 chassis with a jdm h22a (w/h23a1 tranny.. bleh) pulled consistand 14.7's hot lapping it mid day in August 02 (we had a track day 5 days after I got the jdm h22a in, lol). Car had a hot air intake and a muffler welded onto stock piping. But its a 4th gen. Now she pulls 14.1's (need to drop the h23a1 tranny and get h22a, will put me in the 13's.) I can snap pics of my time slips if you want.

Not in a stock "LUDE'. The best I have seen from a 5th gen has been 14.7 stock.

what do you mean by stock? stock internally or stock from the factory with bolt-ons? I was able to do mid 14s with mods in my sig.

My 60' times licked though,2.285.Oh well it's an auto, what do you expect?

Still you got to figure that if a "stock" car can run high 14's there isn't going to be a whole lot that can touch you on the street.Even low 15's isn't too bad,but 14's is definetely better.

You get alot of the "ricer kids" up here, thinking that they live in Cali.Really if you think about it cars that you think would be fast aren't and cars that you wouldn't are.I watched a Mazda Protege MP3 run a 17.7,I thought thay were slightly faster than that.I also saw a 90 Integra run a 17.4,I thought he was turboed at first but it turned out to be one of those Arospeed intakes. If you think about it 14's are quick a 2000 vette runs 13.8-9 with a professional driver so on the street the average person would run in the 14's.I was only meaning that you wouldn't be touched by a majority of cars, not everything on the road. You'd surprise alot of people that's all.

P.S.I just wanted to shout out toSatanSRV.Your car is sweeeet and those Spoon chin spoilers you make are awesome.

It's harder in fifth gens..but 4th gens it's attainable...

I agree there aren't that many fast cars around here, some, but not that many.

I personally saw one run a 14.9. Never seen better. I never race my lude, but ran it at the track once, just one run, 15.2. I just didn't know the car very well back then, I think I could pull off a 15.0-14.9 now.

15.0 ie.
I get bored and start waving to the crowd by the 1/8th mile, so I might be able to shave a tenth off if I actually watched the track and kept it on line.

just cuz its in a old body prelude it doesn't mean your going to run 13's with your tranny being a h22a's and as of now you said you ran 14.7. not possible. the h23a VTEC is faster than the new body vtec by only like .2-.3 tenths cuz of its gear ratios. its not all that much lighter than the bb6.

it doesn't matter what they ran, maybe they aren't good drivers or the car isn't performing right. i have seen stock Portege run a 16.1 i have seen 90 LS's let alone my friends run a 16.6. its all driver and the condition motor is in.

H23a VTEC? That's in an accord wagon and has an auto tranny...it's not that fast.

And the 4th gen gear ratios are not that much different

---4th -- 5th
1-3.307 3.285
2-1.950 1.956
3-1.360 1.344
4-1.071 1.034
