it can be fast it can be slow.

the key is how much money you willing to SPEND!!!

edit: most people don't like b16a because of the block its 1.6 not much torque but if you have the money you can make a b16a fast!!!

exactly....

Some Toda C spec cams, indiv. throttle bodies, etc........ it adds up. But revving out to 10-11k on a fully built 1.6L has to be quite insane, if you have the cash

Of course it has potential, why wouldn't it?

It's only 1595 cc's, but the bottom end will rev as high as te top end will. And if you have stage 2 or 3 cams with 11.1 or more compression you will make serious power. If you had I/H/E, (a good header), bigger TB, ITR manifold, stage 2 or 3 cams, and Hondata the engine will be pushing lots of WHP.

The guys with the b18's and b20 talk smack because their motors are bigger and it's easier to make power with a b18, or b20. The b16 has potentail but a bigger motor has even more potential to make 200 + WHP, which is very rare for a b16.

potential in any motor really...with enough cash, but the b16 will cost a lot to get moving....the reason they talk smack...well, it's more rare to see a fast b16 ...because it takes a lot more money and technical know-how than a fast b18.

It's more rare to see a fast B18a/b than it is to see a fast B16a.......
