Well, i was searching through the posts, and found that some people said that the civic cx d15b8 has 4 valve releifs per cylinder, and then i found one guy that said the 92-95 cx only had 2, but the 96+ had 4 per cylinder. Is this true, becasue a buddy of mine is gonna attempt to swap a jdm 1.5 sohc vtec head onto his cx block, but i dont want him to rip his head off without being able to put the new one on. Any help is appreciated, thanx.

 

Early 92 CX had the eight valve pistons. Late 92+ use the PM3 (four valve relief) pistons.

Just curious - what are you trying to do?

 

Well, like i said in the first post, he wants to put a head from a jdm d15 sohc vtec engine on his d15b8 block. I heard of someone doing this before on a nother 1.5 block, but not a cx block. He has the head with intake manifold and everything.
