I just changed my oil pump on my B16 (there were about 20 pieces of gears in the pump), I'd say just replace the whole thing. For all the trouble you have to go through to get it off the motor, might as well replace the whole unit. Unless you are planning on putting in beefed up parts like the Prodrive billet gears or something. Just my $.02.
well u got a good point...
but the actual moving poarts on the pump are the rotors... they go for 12 bucks when the pump its 110.....just checkin

prodrive makes some billet rotors that are good, i hear. you can also shim the spring when you rebuild it for more pressure if you want. but stock works great for me.
if you do rebuild it there are specs for the clearances inside the pump, i say as long as you are in spec, go ahead.
