Clutch is clicking....whats wrong??
Well i'm still riding on the stock clutch, since i dont race it much. it grabs really late, probably about when the pedal is 3/4 of the way out. well, all of the sudden today the clutch started making a clicking noise when it gets about halfway out. i can hear it click, and i can feel it in the pedal. anyone know whats wrong??
I had the same thing on my stock '94 clutch. I actually had a click and a squeak / groan. When I had to replace it due to a broken spring retainer, the groaning went away, but the click did not. It was coming from the pedal area. I finally put grease on all of the moving parts of the pedal itself including the little spring up there and it went away. If that doesn't do it, you could take off the slave cylinder at the transmission and lubricate the contact point to the part that is inside (I think it is called a fork). If that doesn't fix it, I would say get used to it unless you want to take the transmission off.
yeah, if you are having the same click as me, it is in your pedal, if it bothers you, you can lube it. I took mine into the dealer for an oil change and I think they did it for me, cause it stopped.
good luck!
