To answer your question, i say ride the bike, check make sure everything works. Ask for maintenance records. It's hard to check if the frame is straight or not.

check the front forks, sub frame, tire wear (you can tell what he used the bike for). Check the chain, brake pads, any odd aftermarket parts i.e. clutch level, brake level, pegs, shifter etc.
