Squeak sound
it seems like these days, ive been noticing this squeak sound coming from the wheel area...the squeak goes along with the rotation of the wheels...i can hear it at low speeds, any ideas what this might be?
The first thing I will do is rotate the front tire to the rear (the side that squeaks) just to check it's not the tire/wheel itself. Other than that, I can only think it's the suspension bushing..
One squeak per rotation? Pull the wheel and look at your brake pads. There is a piece of metal that is riveted to the backing plate of the pads and will come in contact with the rotor when the pads are worn down to the minimum. It's there so you don't get metal to metal wear, i.e. backing plate on rotor. If that's not it maybe you have a little animal up in there.
dave, will that happen even though im not on the brakes?
Just had the rear pads in my wife's Accord replaced for the exact same reason.

Sounds to me like the squealer tabs are showing through on your brake pads. You need to have them replaced. Take the car to an Acura dealer, have them measure the thickness of your pads, it sounds like you'll need new ones. The noise comes from the indicator tabs. It's a saftey measure designed into the pads to let you know they need to be replaced.
well here's an update on the sound...its a repeated sound going along the rotation of the wheel. It makes the sound only while in motion and gone during braking....whats up?

Could be a bum wheel bearing too. I think it's the pad's, but I just wanted to add that possibilty. I hope it's the pads. Replacing wheel bearings suck. And they pay crappy too for flat rate.
