My 93 SI H23A is screwed. I blew the timing belt while doing 80 on the freeway. On a somewhat tight budget. Any suggestions where I should start looking? Or is anyone selling an H23/22??

 

well you could take a step back for the time being, I know of one ad here that has a F22a for 50 with tranny, ECU and auto tranny. But your H23 should from what Ive read here (or maybe it is visa versa) that it bolts right up

hey man i wouldnt say your motor isn't screwed you might not have messed things up. i didnt have anything go bad when my timing belt went and i was goin just as fast. I do have a h23 that i pulled out of my 92 lude the oil pump went out on that and i would let it go. Also the head on the h23 i have was rebuilt and planed down 9000 miles ago. so IM me if you want to talk. lata dude and good luck.

what all is screwed up on it? Is it the head or the bottom end as well?

 

Im not sure. I just got word today. I need to find out from the mechanic what exactly is messed up.

 

Find out if the bottom end is good. If it is I'll buy it off of you.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. When I still had my H23.
I BENT 13 outta 16 valves!
You could just get a valve job! Have a leakdown done first to be sure what is bent broke.
Only it was my water pump/ the bearing when out and the belt jumped!!!!!
