I have everything done, last night I was cranking it with the fuel pump fuse out to get the oil to flow into the engine and what not, to discover that I can't remove my key. I spliced the big brown harness togehter, and did the pin 2 to pin 5 splice by making a jumper wire, so I didn't have to cut it from the harness. At first I thought it might be my alarm, but I reconnected the brain still having same problem. So my question is, should I cut pin 2 and pin 5 from the big harness and splice them together like that?

Also I just want to make sure, I did the right splice, the pins are numbered 1-5 on the top and 6-12 on the bottom going left to right, little diagram to make sure I have this right:

1-2-3-__-4-5
6-7-8-9-10-11-12

The little break is that space for the locking clip.
