I have a 94 Accord Coupe with the Tanabe Racing Spec. The problem I have is that the pipe is now rattling against the heat shield. I've looked and see now that the pipe is pretty much touching the shield. Does anybody know what I can do to give more room between the shield and pipe? Thanks in advance.

 

take out the heat shield if you can, or rock it back as far as you can

 

bend the heat shield back if there's room. i had a problem with my exhaust hitting the end of the shield toward the rear of the car after i got a little hung up on a manhole rim. it bent my midpipe a little so i had to make some "adjustments" to get the muffler back over and in doing so the pipe hit the shield. i just slid under the car when it was on the stands and bent it out of the way. and it's soft aluminum, i just used my hands.
