Default The new Dart build. (56k wont cut it)

I took a bunch of pics throughout the build and thought I would share. So far it's not off to a good start and will will explain after some trouble shooting this week.
Dart 85mm. Machine work done by Jim Justice of Justice racing301-624-1000

Ib spec super Dupers masked and ready for dry film coating on the skirts and thermal barrier on the tops

Coating measurement

Tq the main cap

Mic the main bore(pic is for show as you do this with the block vertical)

Rod and piston

Stretching the rod bolts

Had to bend the squrters to clear the strutted pistons

All together

Lumpy goodness

playin with putty..lol

Itr/dpr head..reworked by Curtis Boggs at Racingflow development

valve to valve clearance...wow

super duper dome with head studs

I love this pic

The Ati balancer problem, my custom z10 radius ars shold be here monday, z10 has totally stepped up to help me

That motor looks sick! I just put my shortblock together with those same pistons. Can't believe all the headaches you have had with that setup. That "lumpy goodness" would not happen to have 'D's on the end of them, would they? Hope it all pays off for you Keep us posted.

Couple questions:

Is the problem with the balancer that the traction bar hits it when the wheel moves up?

Any idea what the dimples on the top of the piston are for?

Is that a b&m fpr you're using?

that is an awesome setup. i cant wait to hear some experiences with the gas strutted pistons, as ive heared they wear the rings at an advanced rate..

Tom, where are you??

I'm sure Tom's gonna be pissed if he doesn't break the 250hp mark, but i'm sure his goal is higher than that.
