got question on 98 gsr swap in 00 coupe ex

Default got question on 98 gsr swap in 00 coupe ex

im planning on using a 99-01 p72 ecu for my 00 coupe ex and im swapping in a 98 spec gsr in. would that be plug and play or would there be problems in that. thanks

you will hafta use the civic wiring harness then all should be plug and play

maybe a wire for secondaries though

I don't want to start an argument, but isn't swapping in an older engine into a newer car (e.g. 98 B18C into a 00 EX) against the law? I really don't care if anyone does it, but that's what I heard. Care to clarify?

true, but most states dont inspect, and i dont live in CA

i have a gsr engine swap in my Si, and im running on the Si ecu.. i bought a obd2 p72 but it doesnt plug up because of an "immobilizer", go with obd1 p72, or just get a skunk2 IM

Use an Si wiring harness. You're gonna run into some rewiring when it comes to the distributor.

you are right

after my auto to manual conversion in my 99 ek, i bought a 98 ecu and it wouldn't work. had to get a 99 ecu, which eventually worked.
